WIP Wednesday- a new quilt

DSCN3851

The lighting is terrible, as is my carpet, but I had to snap a picture when I laid out these blocks yesterday.

I actually got this top mostly put together after this photo was taken, too, so there will be a cute new baby quilt showing up around here soon!

I am having issues deciding other things for this one, like backing…binding…should there be borders…any input would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and my purple scraps were so abysmal I had to borrow some from my mom. Yay she had lots of purple scraps!

More on this one soon!

I love it! It's so pretty and cheerful. I think you can use just about any mostly-one-color print or solid for the backing and if it were me I'd slap a black with white polka dots binding on it. I'm not a huge fan of borders, so I'd leave them off myself, but I'm sure the right border would look adorable.

This is a great quilt! I ordinarily opt for borders, but in this case, if it's big enough without them, I'd leave off the borders. The binding suggested by the previous commenter--black with white polka dots--would be great. Or, any black-with-white fabric would look nice with this. Really anything you choose; this quilt will blend with anything!

I love this quilt! I'm such a sucker for rainbows though. I think it would look great just as is, or with a border. I'd probably stick with something fairly simple for the binding. I do really like the idea of the black and white polk dots. Good luck!

Love this one! Reminds me I should get back at my rail fence that's sitting in the closet right now. And what is it with purple? Purple is my favorite color and yet there is very little of it in my stash too.
